I am the one with the camera and the spare hairpins.
I started photographing weddings in 2016, after a friend asked me to bring my old film camera to hers. I have not missed a June since.
I grew up on the west coast of Denmark, where the weather changes every twenty minutes and nobody waits for good light. That is still how I work: I photograph the day you actually have, rain included.
I work alone and I stay all day. No second shooter, no assistant with a reflector, no posing list. Most couples tell me they forgot I was there by the second hour, which is the whole point.
When I am not at a wedding I am scanning film in my small studio in Nørrebro, walking our dog Bolle, or planning the next trip to somewhere with mountains.
How I work
Quiet. I guide when it helps and step back when it does not. Real moments first, a few portraits later.
Honest. Colours as they were, skin as it is. Light edits, nothing plastic.
Whole. I photograph the full day, from getting ready to the last dance, so the story has a beginning and an end.
